Bob's Story
Life
Joined the Marine Corps in Sept of 66,
serving in Vietnam. Later on, began a
career in Aviation, obtained a private
pilot, multi-engine, and commercial
rating. Worked in aviation for awhile in
White Plains NY. Then got to work as a
personal aide/travelling companion to LT
Governor Ray C Osborne, during the time
that Claude Kirk was Governor of Fla.
Ray
Osborne was running for a U.S Senate
seat, at that time. Around the Kent
State days, I became deeply involved in
the counter culture, and all that went along with it. I came to have a
personal relationship with Jesus Christ
in Feb of 1973. Finished my aviation
ratings, obtaining a flight instructor's
and instrument rating. Was called to
the Pastorate, and pastored a church in
Eugene Oregon for a about a year, and
then moved to Visalia California, and
founded a church (Calvary Chapel Visalia )in 1978. Gayle,
and I have four sons. One is still at
home, one is married. We have traveled to about 30
differnet countries, primarily...Expand for more
to teach
at pastor's conferences, and other
evangelistic ministries. Here in Visalia
we have a daily radio program, heard
three times each day that reaches the
entire Central Valley of California. We
have had the blessing of starting two
Chaplains Corps Ministries, one for the
Local Police Department, and the othe
for our Sheriff's Department. Our church
also sponsors an Annual Mayor's Prayer
Breakfast. I serve on 13 or so different
church boards. We have held several
large crusades here in Visalia, with a
combined total attendance of 100,000.
Crusades with Franklin Graham, Greg
Laurie, Miles McPherson, Raul Ries.
Gayle and I are very much in love, and
very exicted about what we are doing
here. We would love the opportunity to
serve in this church, Calvary Chapel
Visalia for the next 15 to 20 years or
so. One other very important thing, and
that's our golden retriever, Annie,
along with about 4 cats. Would love to hear from any of my old friends. Warmest regards, Bob Grenier
