Bob's Story
Graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1972 with a degree in Chemistry. Married Lou in August of 1971 and we'll celebrate our 38th anniversary this year.
We spent a few years moving around a bit (southern Indiana, Baton Rouge, northern Indiana) before settling down in Mobile, AL for almost 25 years.
After taking one of those "yes you are going to retire" early retirement offers, we relocated back to Kentucky to be closer to family.
We have 5 grandchildren so far. My son James and his wife live here in Lexington with a two and a half year old. He's a mechanical engineer. We have a daughter in Cincinnati with a 5 year old and and 18 month old. Emily is an MD. Our daughter Sarah lives in...Expand for more
Florida where her husband is an MD in the Air Force. They have a 7 year old and a two and a half year old.
Lou is a nurse, and I'm working at Lexmark, in their color printer Laser Technology Development group. Retirement isn't too far off, but not as close as it was given what's happened to 401K's in the last several months.
My interests include flying large scale radio control aircraft and a couple of monthly local poker tournaments. Used to play golf, but a broken shoulder from a fall off a ladder a couple of years ago has taken away my swing.
We meant to attend the reunion last fall but ended up out of town and couldn't make it. I'd love to get back in touch, so please feel free to email.
