Bob's Story
I got my Master's in journalism from Northwestern in 1971. Taught two years at Garner H.S. (1972-74). Taught three years at Sandhills C.C. Left Sandhills to get doctore at Indiana. Finished 1981 and began teaching at Elon (1981-87). Then went to Chico State University (1987-1993). For the last 15 years I've taught journalism and mass communication at N.C. Central University. ave been married twice; the first, which lasted 17 years, produced our two beautiful, smart and musically talented daughters. I still love to rock and roll. I've seen my boys the Stones 9 times since 1965 (Reynolds Coliseum in Raleigh). I hope my old friends will remember me as a good-humored guy, who was creative, who edited the Wendell High Life when I was 14, and alonng with Squeak Hinnant and Tommy Coley tortured Mrs. Heath nearly out of her mind, bless her heart.
