In 1959 i graduated an i) worked downtown in Shepards dept store for 8 years, then i started working for the APEX family in 1967===================== In -warwick as manager , before closing in 2001 of may , photo manager , also managed other various departments ,health and beauty aids, records an books ,lamp dept, housewares, typewriters ,gardenshop, known as " the duke of APEX" also was one of the senior key closing managers ================== i worked my way up to managment by starting in the stock room in warwick , during working as manager fliped back an forth to pawtucket & swansea stores ,to help out an , set up the swansea store for grand opening ,but spent the majority of the time in the warwick store as manager -----also did some security work in APEX with warwick police an the late commander jack glendenning of the warwick police dept. ,then worked on the radio in mass, WARA 1320 am attleboro ma. part time saturday mornings 6-10 am playing those 50-60 doo-wop songs while still working at apex, also helped host many a car shows in various places in ri, in the parking lot of apex, also rocky point shore dinner hall parking lot, sams , ...Expand for more
