Bob's Story
Left high school after the 11th grade.
I got my GED then in 1976 went to adult education and graduated from Bonds Wilson High School in North Charleston SC.
Joined the Navy where I served for 30 years rising to the rank of Master Chief. I served on Destroyers and Submarines where I was the Chief of the Boat on three Nuke Boats. I served in Viet Nam in 1968 were I received a purple during the Tet Offensive. While with SEAL Team 2 and 1st Marines Force RECON. y twice. We had four chrildren one who died after 3 months. We are blessed with 14 grandchrildren and 2 greatgrandchrildren. I have been enployed as a police officer for the past 20 years at The Citadel the Military College of South Carolina. You may have read of it in 1995 when they were forced by congress to let women in. I'm presently serveing as the Deputy Chief.
As I get older and life seems to be passing by more quickly my mind drifts back to the Valley and friends. Ahhhh!! to be able to relive the past.
