Bob's Story
I graduated from Washington University (St. Louis) in 1969 and the University of Minnesota in 1974, both chemical engineering. I married Sally Miller in 1970 (no children). We lived in Naperville, Illinois, where I worked for Amoco, until 1981. At that time we moved to Katy, Texas, near Houston, where I worked for Kellogg. I retired in 1993 to take care of Sally, who inherited myotonic dystrophy from her father. She passed away in March 2008. After that I resumed my tennis, golf, and cycling interests, in addition to genealogy, lots of reading, long walks with the dog, and traveling all over the country.

by Facebook message. We had dated briefly in the summer of 1969, after my senior year at Wash U. (Her husband of 40 years, Fred Lebsack, had died in early 2011. She was living in Oakland, California, near her daughters and granddaughter.) We started emailing, then skyping, then phoning, and met on December 1, 2012 in Phoenix AZ. It was love again at first sight, and our bond has only grown stronger since. We married on April 13, 2013, and went on a nine-week honeymoon, first in Paris and the British Isles and then on an 8,000-mile road trip to meet our respective friends and families. We've set up housekeeping in Oakland, and we're having the best time! Hope to see y'all soon.
