Bob's Story
Life
After graduating in 1964, I attended college in Sacramento and continued my education with Florida State Univ while serving in the Navy from 65 - 69. Worked in Naval Communication Intelligence and one of my proudest endeavors.
I married Robin Wiley (class of 66) in 1966, had two children, Scott now 43 and Anne 40. Scott still lives in Fairfield and Anne is in the Sacramento area. Both have children giving me a total of 7 grand children. Robin and I parted in 1999 and still remain very good friends.
Other than owning various business ventures in the Fairfield area, I left in 1989 and went to work in the public and trade show production industry. I had a chance to travel the world with show productions and made a lot of great friends. I am still involved in that industry for three months out of the year as an independent consultant and able to do some limited traveling throught out the Western US.
I currently live in Seaside, Oregon. Seaside is located on the far Northwestern coast of the state and is a very busy tourist destination during the Summer. I live about two blocks from the beach and also have have had two business in town. Now I am semi-retired and still work some with the show industry. I find living on the coast very rewarding and tranquil. I currently have a significient other and have been together for 8 years now. She has two adult children from a previous marriage and has resided most of her life in the surrounding area.
Life is good, has been very rewarding in so many ways and still cherish those friendships of the Armijo days dearly. It is so hard to believe that over 40 years have gone by. I live my life with the philosophy of when it comes time to check out in life and taking those final breaths, don't say "I wish I would have...." Do what you want that makes you happy without hurting anyone along the way. Make everyday a great adventure and learning experience.
My very best to all of you.

Some of my greatest moment at Armijo were with the band and our trips. Bob Briggs our instructor and inspiration for so many to succeed in life. A few parties along the way through school, lets never forget Loui's little get together our Senior year!!!
Doing it over again......NO but would not trade the memories. Breaking my nose twice while Pole Vaulting, cutting class to go to Flakey Cream in the morning, and even going to class. All a good memory.
College
Solano College
American River College
Florida State University
Major was Business Administration and Criminal Justice. I had always wanted to go to Law School. Family and work never let it happen.
Workplace
After the Navy, I returned to Fairfield and worked with the Fairfield Police Department, Sears in Vallejo as a Security Manager and then went into business for myself. I had two automotive radiator shops in Fairfield and Vacaville from the 70's and 80's along with a boat and marine accessory store in Cordelia (Westbanks Dory Company). After selling the radiator shops and closing the boat business, I relocated to Wisconsin for 5 years where I got involved with public and trade show productions. I had offices in Wisconsin, Phoenix, and finally in Dallas before semi-retirement. My workd took me throughout the US and other countries for as much as 9 months out of the year. Nice travel at someone elses expense!!!!
I opened two restaurants in Seaside, Oregon on the coast. A chowder bar and deli and a fine dining Italian restaurant. Both have been recently sold and have built another Italian restauran in Redmond, Central Oregon. I still am involved with public show productions for three months out of the year and travel during that time. It has all been a wonderful experience.
Military
US Navy from 1965 - 1969. Served in an intelligence field and had various assignments, mostly shore based, around the world for my four years. My military record is one of my proudest achievements.
