Bob's Story
Life
Graduated 1963 midterm. Went to work in the military contracts field doing engineering drafting. Worked for such as Lockheed, Aerojet General, Hughes Aircraft, Hoffman Electronics and many other job shops serving the aerospace market. Married Rae Rossi summer of '63. Have 3 children. Divorced after 9 years. Found my true love for a career, driving truck. Bought my first truck from NorthAmerican Van Lines (NAVL) in '76 and started hauling household goods. n that finally failed, went back into the engineering field. Lived and worked in the Costa Mesa and Huntington Beach area until I could get another run at the trucking business. In 1980 bought another tractor from NAVL this time new. Met my wife now when I moved her from Tucson to Minneapolis (thus my new home in Minnesota). Have worked with various van lines but now am a company driver. I pull LTL freight using a set of double trailers between Minneapolis and Chicago. I am home every day and don't work weekends unless I want to.
