Bobby's Story
After graduating from Matoaca High, I obtained an AS degree in fire and safety engineering technology from Rowan Technical Institute in Salisbury, NC. I received a bachelors in fire protection and safety and an MBA both from Oklahoma State University.
Upon completion of college I worked for the Oklahoma City Fire Department for several years before becoming Deputy Fire Chief in Clovis, NM. In 1982 I became the Fire Chief in Billings, MT. In 1988, I became Fire Chief in Spokane, WA where I continue to work today.

y in the state located on the eastern side of the state approximately 18 miles from the Idaho border. The population in the city is about 210,000 (similar in size to Richmond) and the metro area has a population of about a half a million. We have beautiful mountains around us, with 5 ski resorts, over 75 lakes and tons of things to do within a two hour drive of downtown (ok thats my chamber of commerce segment).
My wife and I have two boys, one in college and the other a junior in high school. We have been in Spokane for over 20 years and love this part of the country.
