Bond's Story

I have lived in Gainesville since '74. After graduating MCHS in '59, 1 year at West GA College, 4 years in US Navy, 32 years with Liberty National Life Ins. Co., retired from LNL in '97. Then worked 5 years with American Red Cross as a disaster volunteer, followed by 5 years as Director of Emergency Services for Nortueast GA Chapter. Retired again. There is not a long line of folks wanting to hire 70 year old men, so I guess I will stay retired.. Married to Judy 28 years. Have 1 son, Greg and 2 step daughters Stacy and Christy and 5 beautiful, sweet, smart, athletic and perfect grand kids. Two girls, three boys....Expand for more
Oldest fourteen, youngest four. They all live within 20 mins of us. Have been blessed more than any man deserves.Enjoy my family, friends, the lake and travel. Have a motor home and usually take around 5 trips a year to include GA/FL game. Will always have fond memories of Madison County and the great people, family and community, who tried to raise us right. Update 8/23/15. FOUND SOMEONE TO HIRE 74 YEAR OLD. Driving Hall Co. school bus since Jan last year. Fun but quite a challenge. Little ones are a joy but most should be taking calming meds. Oldest grand child is a senior, youngest 2nd grade. Life is good.
