Life
Thanks for visiting! Be sure to visit my blog at bonitaesblog.blogspot.com. I've moved around a lot and I can't remember if I actually spent a full school year in one place since about the 5th grade-I know I spent maybe 3 or 4 years at 4th Ward Elementary in Griffin-as Bonnie Beavers. Some of these schools asked for grad year, and I put 1980 as the year I would have graduated-if I had been able to stay at that school. But, like I said we moved a lot. In fact, I went to 3 different schools during 8th grade-living with my Dad as Bonnie McArthur.
I would love to hear from friends I have lost contact with. There have been major changes in my life since those long ago school days and I've really grown up a lot. Of course, I imagine we all have.
I have earned two college degrees in social work. I know how hard that is for anyone who knew me to believe, but it is true. I've married the man of my dreams and we have 8 beautiful children. Three of them are living on their own-one of them a college graduate, married and starting her own family. Another has joined the Army Reserv...Expand for more
es. The other five are at home creating a wonderful world of chaos.
I'm not working currently due to a host of medical problems, primarily herniated discs, fibromyalgia, and chronic pain, so I spend most of my days trying to get our house in order. We lost our home to fire in 1994 and had to rebuild. Now I'm working on making our new home look less "new". We didn't have anything left after the fire so I'm working from scratch. I'm hoping to get in touch with some of my old schools and maybe get copies of some of the yearbooks I lost. Those are the hardest losses-pictures, videos, old school memorabilia. The things you really can't replace. I used my yearbooks kind of like scrapbooks, and can't really put that stuff back.
Anyway, everything happens for a reason and we're doing ok. We know that God will use whatever happens to us for good so we just deal with what we get.
I look forward to hearing from my old friends and chatting about old times. Be sure to leave me a note and let me know how you remember me and from where. Or send me an email to haleysgrammy at gmail. com.
