Bonnie's Story
After graduating from MTHS, I went my freshman year to Douglass College, New Brunswick, the highlight of which was singing acapella in the Voorhese Choir. And I thought Miss Evans was tough.
I transfered to Glassboro State, now Rowan U, and graduated from there with my degree in Early Childhood Ed. In my sophomore year of college I ran into Jerry (my husband) again. We first met when I was a sophomore at Middle and he was a senior at Wildwood Catholic - The Bongo Room teen dance. Remember them?
He was in the Coast Guard at the time stationed in Delaware. In 1983 we got married, and have been enjoying life together ever since. I have a step-daughter living in Texas with 2 children of her own, and we have 2 grown sons, Brian and Jason. Brian works, ...Expand for more
as Jerry does, for Verizon and Jason's still trying to figure it out. Right now he's working at the hospital.
I haven't worked in the school system since Brian was born 22 years ago. I've had the great privilege of being able to stay at home and raise our boys. In 1986 both Jerry and I found a great church and started our relationship with Jesus. We are really active in our church, so that keeps us both pretty busy now that our kids are grown.
My parents are still in the area and doing well. Very active in their church in CMCH. My sister, Wendy is also married with a daughter and set of twins. The twins just graduated from their homeschooling HS program this spring. She and her husband, Jim, a minister, are doing well and living in Malaga, NJ.
