Bonnie's Story
Life
After high school graduation, I attended Western Washington until my father was transferred to Florida. While in college I got married at 20 to a lieutenant in the Air Force. My daughter, Carey, was born in Michigan. Getting out of the service, we relocated to Virginia where I had family and I still reside. In 1972, I enrolled at VCU and graduated in '76 with a BFA in Interior Design.
I had a wonderful career as a commercial designer, doing custom interiors for corporations and financial institutions. And had my own design firm for several years. But when I remarried in 1989, Jim, my husband-a Realtor and developer-convinced me to leave my business world and work with him. So real estate consumes a good portion of our lives in one fashion or another.

the capital, Richmond. Extra time finds us on the golf course, fly fishing or in my studio quilting, painting, photography or making custom silver jewelry.
I find it ironic that as much as I looked forward to "getting out" of high school, for years I've found there are not enough hours in the day to learn and do all the things that interest me. Life is good!
Having been an Air Force "brat", I haven't had the priviledge to maintain long lasting friendships from my youth. (We didn't have the internet, email and such back then.) So, the upcoming 40th CPHS Reunion is a real treat for me. I can't wait to see everyone and hear their stories about what they have been doing for the past 40 years! Hope to see you there!!!
