Bonnie's Story
Life
Hi! Lets see, what's happening in my life. I am currently single and live on several acreas overlooking the cascade mountains in Redmond, WA with my Jack Russell terrier Griffin and 2 Lusitano fillies (Umbalina and Vienna) I imported from Germany last year. I earned two BA degrees from UW in 1989 and a Master in Management from Antioch University in 2000. I left my event management position at IBM 9 years ago to come to work at Microsoft Corp where I now direct marketing activities for the Accessible Technologies group and manage a team of business development managers, product planners, marketers, technical evangelists and program managers. My work involves a lot of business travel outside the US in Europe especially Itay, France, Ireland and England with occasional trips to Australia/Singapore/Malaysia. Recently, I participated in a Global Aging Summit in Edingburgh, Scotland sponsored by The Pfizer Journal which included 10 experts from around the world with r...Expand for more
epresentatives from the United Nations & PH.D./MD thought leaders from Iceland, Japan, UK, Eastern Europe and the United States. This is where I met my first Baroness--Sally Greengross a very intelligent and lovely woman who was a fellow panelist. The roundtable was hosted by the Pfizer Journal to discuss aging and workforce issues in our global economy and I was by far the youngest panelist (horrah!)and the only industry participant invited--surrounded by researchers, academics, policy and medical advisors for two days. It was very stimulating. Recently I entered the Biketown USA essay contest and won a Giant brand bike with tons of gear. In addition to rediscovering cycling, the contest has also inspired me to write more in my free time. Other activities I love include pilates, horseback riding, english rose gardening, sculpting in bronze and mustang rescue fundraising and awareness activities. Have a great day. P.S. It was fun seeing everyone at the reunion.
