Bonnie's Story
I live on Wrangell Island in Southeast Alaska in a cabin on the back side of the island with my husband and grandson. No power, No phone, accessible only by boat or a good hike. We spend 9 months of the year here and the other 3 months in the Yuma, AZ area in a small cabin we are building in the desert.
Wrangell has a population of about 1200 people. My 2 daughters live here also and my son lives in NJ. My youngest daughter is deceased and we are raising ...Expand for more
her son. 10 of my 12 grandchildren live in Wrangell also.
You can get to Wrangell by Alaska Airlines or the Alaska Marine Highway {ferry}. A beautiful cruise.
We fish, hunt, crab, shrimp, pick berries, and when there is nothing else to do there is always wood to be cut for the wood stove.
My husband of 41 years is Don Roher from Easton brook N.Y. We've done alot of traveling and had alot of adventures and they continue with our lifestyle in Alaska......
