Bonnie's Story
I always wanted to be a Physical Therapist when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a good idea. As it turns out, they were wrong.
My father is my hero. He passed away when I was in 9th grade. He was honest, kind, and someone I looked up to. He had a great sense of humor & liked to take trips to nowhere in particular. Which I like to do to this day.
If I won $100 million, I'd give 20 million of it to Save the Children, then spend the rest on family, friends and travel.
If I could do one do-over I would have gone through with my Peace Corps assignment...Expand for more
in Costa Rica, teaching nutrition to pregnant woman & children. Instead I started grad school, which left a lot to be desired.
My oldest friend, is Debi Winkler. We met in Kindergarten at Monterey in Mrs Posner's class. We were also born a week apart in the same hospital. We're still friends to this day!! (at least most days)
My first job was at L.A. County Health Dept, where I got paid $3.98 to work immunization clinics; & deliver fliers & make posters. What I remember most about it is how much fun it was. We were Student Professional Workers, all college kids..
