Bonnie's Story
Life
After high school I went to college and got an Associate Degree in Business Administration. I worked at the Dayton Chamber of Commerce for a few years, then worked at a Law Firm in Dayton for a few more. Then I started working for the Government at Defense Electronics Supply Center. I met my husband while working there & we were married in 1987. He was an officer in the Navy and we were transferred to Washington, DC in 1988. While we were there I worked at the Pentagon and for a Government contractor the last few years I was there. My husband then retired from the Navy and we moved back to Dayton, where I got a great job working for the President of an International Corporation. After working there for about 5 years I found out I was going to have a baby and that my boss was about to retire, so I quit work and stayed home with my daughter for the nex...Expand for more
t 18 months then worked part time for another year and a half. That brings us up to date. My daughter just had her third birthday and I will be looking to go back to work full time again soon. During my years of marriage before my baby was born I traveled quite a bit. We went on four cruises, bought a condo timeshare in St. Thomas, USVI and one in Myrtle Beach, SC. Took many trips to New York City and my nephew now lives there. We also went snow skiing just about every year in Colorado, mostly Vail, Winter Park, and Breckenridge. Vail is my favorite. But all that changed of course once we had Jessica. We still take a trip to our place in Myrtle Beach almost every summer or go to the Florida Keys where my sister has a vacation home. So things have slowed down a little but we still have a good time! It will be interesting to see what the next 25 years brings!
