Life
I moved from New Milford CT. to Denver North Carolina in October 1998. I have been married now for 27 years to Uwe Wittkamp and I have 1 son Brian. Brian is now 26 years old and has been married for 3 years to Kristine. They have just moved in to their first house . Uwe and Brian both work for race teams. When we first came to NC Uwe and Brian both worked for Bill Elliott ( 94). Then Brian moved on to work for Jeremy Mayfield (12) and now works for joe gibbs race team (20) & (18) team. Uwe stayed with Bill 's team through the change to Dodge and owner Ray Evernham. Needless to say it keeps Uwe very busy. We have a nice home here with about 4 acres and would someday like to build a log home out in the country. Health update In Nov 2003 I found out I have mestastic breast cancer. nodes on the left side of my body. Then infusions of a bone strenghthener called zometa, we thought I was on the road to recovery especially ending all medicines with weeks of radiation. But Feb 2005 a tiny spot showed up in one of many cat scans I need in the middle of my back. With the use of the CT scan a biopsy taken proved to be breast cancer that SURVIVED what my Drs say the strongest chemo they had. So for the last year and 1/2 it has grown large enough to cause pain
. So I just had 3 weeks of radiation with some side effects that effect your swallowing and stomach because of the location of the tumor. Now sometime soon I will have to have chemo again. I also had to have a partial knee replaced. At first that was going well but the healing slowed down because of the cancer. I just hope and pray I will be around long enough to play with my grandson due to arrive march 7,2007
