Ok, the short version . . . I'm married to my 2nd husband, Bob, who is a keeper. I have 2 sons, Tony (29) and David (23) and 1 stepdaughter, Amanda (29). Upon becoming empty-nesters, we decided to escape what had become a hectic lifestyle in Walnut Creek, so 3 years ago we moved up to the mountains above Camas, WA. It is so beautiful up here, and we love it! I remember in my younger days trying to decide what to be when I grew up, and all I knew for sure was that I didn't want to be a teacher. I have now taught for 30+ years. After teaching at Acalanes, WCI, and a couple of elementary schools in Walnut Creek, I opened a reading clinic. Somewhere along the way I picked up a MS in Special Ed, and became a reading specialist. My Master's thesis, a study skills program, was published and used as a guide by some school districts, which was kind of exciting.
