Bonny's Story
I didn't really want to leave high school - I thought our years at AHS were too much fun, but I went to UMD for one semester, worked at C&P (how old are we if we remember C&P Telephone) then married and moved to Virginia. I have a daughter and son, and I finally graduated from college in 1999 (Virginia Commonwealth University) with a combined major - Religion and Psychology, and minors in Women's Studies and Judaic Studies.
I divorced and remarried 15 years ago. My kids moved to the west coast after their college graduations. My mom, husband Mike, and I followed last year....Expand for more
We live in Portland, OR about 10 minutes from my son and his wife. My daughter is in San Francisco, and Mike's family is in CA. My mom is 87 and happy to be closer to her grandkids.
I've worked on and off during my adulthood, but am now a full time housewife. Mike is still working and we're not sure when retirement will be in our future. I was laid off from my last job (editorial research assistant) right before we moved last June.
I have to say that I've thought about my classmate often, and remember our days at Brooklyn Park and Andover with fondness and nostalgia.
