Bonnye's Story
Life
My husband and I have a home in Redwood City. We have a blended family of 7, yes 7 kids. A couple of them are in college, 4 teenagers and one 9 year old. But my favorite kid is my chocolate lab Buster, who is more like a kid than a dog.
We have a wrought iron gate fabrication and automation shop in Redwood City, which keeps us busy. I always wanted to be a commercial artist when I was younger, you know, designing album covers, but I never pursued an art career. However, I am able to meet my creative side by designing all our iron gates on AutoCad. And even more interesting, all my kids got my artistic/creative genes. My oldest son, Steven is in SF Art Institute, my daughter Monique is in high school and pursuing a career in fashion design, the girl is constantly creating beautiful garments. My other daughter, Noelle is taking culinary classes this summer and my youngest is already working with his grandpa, (who is a...Expand for more
general contractor), on any project grandpa will let him. The boy ask for power tools for Christmas and he's only nine. He says he wants to be an architect by day and a chef at night. So, I guess I'll have to live vicariously through my kids, for now. My sister and I have a small company designing beaded jewelry, the only reason we sell it is so we can buy more supplies to make more, thereby supporting our beading addiction. I also work as a controller for a local magazine in Menlo Park.
Our family loves boating, water-skiing, wakeboarding and camping. I love the boating part. Being the mom on a camping trip negates the "vacation" part of the trip for me.
For anyone who remembers me from school and my wild ways, you would not recognize me now, I am sooo not wild anymore, very mom, domesticated, HOWEVER, very far from boring.
My life has turned out pretty well since I graduated a million years ago. Life is Good.
