Brad's Story

Life Ask someone to write their own bio and likely it will reflect the current mood of the writer as much as the events of the past. I just returned from a wonderful weekend away with my wife of 19 years. Some of you may remember her as my girlfriend back in school. She has been by my side since then and together we have three sons. After graduation I travelled, spending most of the next year in Australia and New Zealand. Since then I have been fortunate to continue to travel with my wife and family, as time and finances permitted. During the last 12 months we have fallen in love with the Cote d'Azur and renewed our appreciation for the California surf. There are few things as freeing as catching good wave. Raising 3 sons has been one of the highlights of my life. I have coached their sports teams, cheered even louder when I am in the stands, applauded their musical performances, and hosted their sleepovers. I have a lot of experience making pancakes on Saturday mornings as a result. In them I see an occasional reflection and more often a window to a world of wonder. I studied Political Science and Business Admin in university and have been involved in ma...Expand for more
nagement of small and large corporations, primarily in finance and business development. I have yet to find my passion vocationally. I have had some successes and failures to be sure, but no sense of lasting purpose in my career. There is always music in my home as my wife teaches piano in her studio. Or there is a new cd playing. Lately it has been Jack Johnson and Ben Harper or old friends like U2("One"), Peter Gabriel ("Your Eyes") and Lenny Kravitz ("Stillness of Heart"). My dog is my newest friend. Dakota is a Golden Retriever and his hair finds its way into every part of my life. I have been as far away as Europe only to open my suitcase to find dog hair on my clothes. A loyal companion indeed. I love to listen to the stories of people I meet. It is a great honor to hear what beats in someone's heart or what they hope to still experience. I have always enjoyed people and what makes them feel alive, especially shared over a good meal. I still plan on having my own vineyard someday, location tba. Until then I will sample as many vintages as I can, preferably in their location of origin. Travel with friends just makes wine taste better. Cheers, Brad
