Brad's Story
Not many people probably know who I am. As my life has taken me on my journey I am still trying to figure that out myself. As I look back now at the time I spent in school I realize there wasnt much I was involved with. As I recall getting a job and attempting to be independent was the major thing on my mind. I was never really the outgoing type. I watched people from a distance and wondered what it would be like to be a part of the group but never had the nerve to take the "risk" to put myself out there.
Not much changed in my journey after school. I continued along the path of obscurity and few relationships outside my wife and family. I have been married to Colleen for 21 years and we have 6 kids. Yes, six. Many of you may say with 6 kids who has time outside of the family which can be somewhat true. My wife, two older childeren and me were a foster care family for almot 5 years which came to a conclusion after we adopted the fourth child from the 26 foster kids we cared for.
I have been working in the medical field for almost 20 years and currently work as a supervisor at Donor Alliance. I have found the work helping others to be extremely rewarding. I my current role I have ...Expand for more
been given the opportunity to work with a coach to better enhance my ability to communicate. This has begun to open doors that I have kept closed for my whole life. It has been a whole new adventure which has changed who I am.
I began coaching little league footbal and I am currently the Vice President of Golden Applewood Midget Football Association. My wife and I are forming a non-profit organization (Golden Youth Foundation) to work with the youth and the Golden community . Being able to meet and learn about other peole has been amazing and has actually helped me learn more about me as well. I look through the profiles of names I recall from high school and realize the time I had in school could have been full of getting to know so many people who I probably will never get to know and what a shame that was however I also know that nobody really knows what the future may hold and what paths may cross. So I will keep in mind if ever comes the chance crossing of paths of anyone from my past as I continue my journey I will do my best to take the "risk" I was always afraid of and try to learn more about the names I see here. Until that op[prtunity comes along I wish everyone the best.
