Brad's Story
After graduation at GP at mid-term in 1974, I worked in a brick plant in Corpus for a few months. I moved to Victoria, Tx in late '74, and began pipefitter apprentice training for Zachry Construction at the Dupont Plant in Bloomington. I worked petro-chem construction as a pipefitter, welder, and supervisor in Victoria, Pasadena, and Houston area for the next 20 years. While in Victoria, I married a pretty, red-headed East Texas girl in 1980 in Halletsville, where she was a Physician Assistant for a local Doctor. We had two lovely girls, the first born on January 7,1982(Valerie) and the second on May 9,1983(Michelle)yes-only 16 months apart. We moved from Victoria to La Marque(on the mainland off Galveston Island)in 1987, as Karen got a teaching job in the PA pr...Expand for more
ogram at UTMB over on the island, and I had better opportunity for advancement in construction. I currently work for Jacobs Engineering at the BP Texas City Refinery as a Construction Cost Analyst. Karen is a Professor in the PA program at UTMB-Galveston, We are grandparents now, as Valerie has married and had our first Grandchild-a girl-Kylie Ryan Brown on December 31,2008, and now a boy-Henry Oscar Brown on March 25, 2010. Michelle is a CPA with PWC in Houston. Michelle still lives close to us, up the road in League City, but Val and Oscar have recently moved to Boerne near San Antonio, where he works for a large refining corporation. We have truly been very blessed in our lives. Enough for now. If you want to know more, let me know! Take care! God Bless You!
