Brad's Story
Life
B.S. in physics from Portland State University. Retired Air Force pilot (mostly Oregon ANG). Retired airline pilot. (NWA) Sailed from Seattle to Australia and back. Still fly a little; still sailing. Still married (to Judy Nicolarsen), after 50+ years. Two children, boy and a girl. One grandson and one granddaughter. (They live in Oz.) Just spent a month in Oz with the family.
School
First attempt at college was not successful. After about a year, I entered USAF pilot training; graduated in Feb '58. Married in 1961. Went back to school, full-time and part-time (while Judy graduated), finally got my B.S. in Physics in '65.

tronaut, so I went to work for NWA, in 1966...so maybe I graduated in '64 (gotta find my transcript, somewhere). I had 22 years with the AF and ANG. Flew with the airline 27 years.
Sailing
Started sailing on the Columbia in 1964. Boats kept getting bigger, and I got tired of leaving my mark on every sand bar in the Columbia, so we ultimately moved to Port Ludlow in '76. Sailed to New Zealand and married off our daughter there. Went on to Australia for a year before returning home. Four year circuit (from 1993 to 1997) of the Pacific. Even wrote a book about it...
Book available from Lulu. Also from Amazon. The name of the book is "The Long Summer".
