Brenda Ann's Story
Wow..
Sorry I've taken so long to post ANYTHING on CM.
It's nice to be remembered, especially since I never really had any friends that I can remember. Trust me, it's not your fault, either. My teen years were a massive upheaval, more so than the rest of my life.
You see, we moved a LOT when I was young... like every few months or so. As a result, I didn't have a lot of time to make friends, and was pretty much a loner.
Some of my fondest memories were of Astoria and AHS, though. AHS was one of the very few places where teachers made an impact on me.
I would spend hours just walking around town. I must have visited the column 5 or 6 times. I loved walking across the Youngs Bay bridge in the misty spring weather. One time I felt like a real wal...Expand for more
k, and walked all the way to Svenson. :) I sure miss those days.
When I wasn't doing that, I'd hang out at Trader Jake's, or Pig n' Pancake, or KVAS. I worked for a little while at Rogers TV. It was a lot of stuff to do, considering I spent only about 7 months in Astoria (the first time), before moving to a foster home outside Seaside.
These days, I'm not so active (sedentary.. I call it 'sedimentary', since I just sit on my bottom and do nothing much of anything... :) ) I do work for a military contractor in Korea doing telephone service calls, etc. Not a bad gig.
Anyway, please don't feel offended if I don't remember you. Maybe if you reminded me of something we did together or what classes we had, it might help.
Have a great life, everyone. :)
