Brenda's Story
Life
Divorced; 1 son (Nick), 2 beautiful redhaired granddaughters, and a strawberry blonde Brussels Griffon (Chelsea). BBA from TCU 1969 after starting at North Texas State University in Denton, TX. Lived in Dallas area until 1986; 2 yrs in Hawaii; 9 yrs in Philadelphia. Following divorce, I moved to Sacramento, CA for five months, then returned to Texas. Worked in Greenville until retirement in August 05. Relocated to South Florida soon after Katrina, but arrived in time to experience a direct-hit hurricane, Wilma. Lived with my son and his fiance plus three dogs, in a one-bedroom apartment. My planned career change did not happen there and, with the cost of living so high, I returned to Greenville, Texas. I have learned the value and importance of family and friends. I currently live next door to my brother, Tommy and his wife, Diane. arket is glutted with qualified applicants, most of whom are not seniors as am I. So still looking for something to help with the finances. With the economy in its current critical crisis, it is very frustrating. Add to that the fact that I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up, and it gets weird and truly challenging at times. My taste is eclectic in most aspects of my life life. I study New Age, metaphysics, hypnotherapy, tarot and some other unusual yet interesting subjects. I am a Reiki Master/Sensei/Healer, which means that I am a holistic healer, practicing Usui Reiki; I am also a teacher of Usui Reiki. I have worked with individuals on self-esteem issues, smoking cessation, and other health issues. Enjoy music, dancing, movies, art, camping, travel. Have visited Mexico, Canada, China, Russia, Croatia and Italy. I've been lots of places, but wherever my travels take me, I agree with Dorothy, "There's no place like home!" To me, that means TEXAS!!
