Brenda's Story
Life
While completing my Phys Ed degree I was fortunate to land a job as the Gatorade Rep for MB/SK/NW ONT - that position compelely changed my career path and here I find myself 21 years later still representing Gatorade. I've learned so much about sports marketing (all by osmosis I'm sure) and that eventually led to Event Production.
After Graduation, I was hired by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers as the Manager of Game Day Production for 7 seasons. While on maternity leave I decided to open up my own Sports Marketing and Event Production agency - giving me the freedom and flexibility to work from home and be with my daughter.
My event production experience with the Bombers has opened many other Production doors for me. Who Knew? When I got my Phys-Ed degree I always thought I was going to be in a gym with a whistle around my neck and getting summers off!
I have been fortunate to work with some amazing producers both in Winnipeg and across Canada and the USA. 1999 was a huge opportunity with being hired to produce 3 sports - Gymnastics, Volleyball and Basketball. To date it has been one of my greatest challenges. I have been involved with 21 consecutive Grey Cup Cha...Expand for more
mpionships - looking forward to the 22nd this year!
In April 2005 I was hired by True North & Entertainment to produce the Junos. What an amazing gig! Having worked in the Sports arena for so many years it was tons of fun to work in the music scene. CONFIRMED FACT - Musicians DO have bigger egos than Professional Athletes! WHO KNEW? I was shocked.
In January of 2009, I married an incredible man and amazing father. After 9 years together we finally made it official. Our family keeps out of trouble by staying active in sports. Hockey, baseball, gymastics, swimming lessons, karate, etc, etc, etc. We really enjoy participating and watching the kids compete in their activities.
I would love to touch base with any 1984,85,86,87 Grads out there who attended WPC the years I did. Don't hesitate to catch up with me on here, Facebook, Twitter or Linked In.
