I cannot believe how quickly the years have gone by.
Seems like we just left HHS. From HHS, I attended UAB
thanks to a volleyball scholarship. After a couple of years there, I began my career with UAB Hospitals and
Clinics with the Department of Radiology. I started at the bottom and worked my way up. I recently managed a group of 15 front desk staff members at the Kirklin Clinic. From there, I became the acting Director of Radiology Services. That replacement did not come soon enough.
I now work with the Radiology Informatics group. We house/maintain all images for all patients passing through UAB, he Kirklin clinic, UAB Highlands, ect. We make sure the Radiologists have what that need to make...Expand for more
an accurate diagnosis.I accomplished my goals along the way and am now headed for retirement(which I did in 2021).
I had my home built in Leeds last year. I love it up here. Twenty minutes from here to Trussville, 280 and Pell City and close to my mom. I had a health scare in 2011. I was diagnosed with breast cancer. But after 6 months of chemo, surgery and radiation I got my cure. To this day I remain cancer free. I now mentor newly diagnosed breast cancer patients.
My kid(my kitty) keep me busy too! I am trying to launch a photography career as well..I do mostly birds, animals, mountains, beach scenes, and have offered my services for weddings for folks on a tight budget.
I hope everyone is well !
