Life
Brenda Macy-EHS '72, Murray State University '75 B.A. French/Library Science, University of Kentucky '80 Masters of Science in Library Science. From 1976-1983 I was a school librarian with Crittenden County Schools in Marion, KY. In December 2008, I retired after a 25-year career as Director of the Hardin County Public Library. My main interests are reading and gardening. Specifically, I grow registered hybrid daylilies and my garden is an American Hemerocallis Society Display Garden. town Lions Club, Daylily Society of Louisville, and American Hemerocallis Society. I currently serve as the editor for the AHS Region 10 Newsletter - The Daylily Appeal. I'm an AHS Awards and Honors Judge and AHS Senior Exhibition Judge. I have recently been elected to the American Hemerocallis Society Board of Directors as the Director from Kentucky/Tennessee. My vacations take me to wherever the AHS National Convention is held, so that I can walk around in the heat/humidity and admire other gardens and add to the list of daylilies I wish to purchase!
