Brenda's Story
Life
My husband and I moved into our new home at the end of June 2007. We like the bigger rooms and smaller yard!
My wonderful Pug, Sara passed away in August of 2007 and is missed. Sophie, the baby Pug has become quite the lady. Oldest granddaughter Jensen has her driver's license now and is a wonderful driver, unlike the rest of the family. Paxton, the next granddaughter is a member of the Dickinson Diamonds Drill Team. Dawson, the terror, is enjoying kindergarten and t-ball. Michelle, my youngest is working in a large law firm in downtown Houston and doing well. Brittney keeps busy as office manager for fast growing a/c company and her raising her three kids.
In memory of my brother, Dave Drake, who passed away...Expand for more
in August 2007, I tried hard to figure out something I could do that would be a tribute to him. I found it or rather him. His name is Billy and he has Dave's twinkle in his eye and my David and I have given him a home and a future. Something he didn't have.(Let's see how I do raising a sixteen year old!) My brother, Dave, was the kind of person young people should strive to be like. He was kind, fair, forgiving, he didn't have a bad or unkind word to say about anyone and he didn't judge people. He is missed. I'm praying that Dave will be the guardian angel in helping us do the right things by Billy and he turns out like Dave's two sons, Jon and Chad.
Spring has finally sprung and I have been busy working in my garden.
