Brenda's Story
I spent most of my life in Raleigh, NC and currently reside in Charlotte, NC. I'm a wife and the mother of two sons, Rodriquez and Dequan and six beautiful grandchildren, Jasmine, Tamara, Dequan Jr, Trey, Andre and Luke.
It wasn't until after I had been married, divorced, involved in drugs and alcohol, and on the verge of suicide did I on Mother's Day, May 1991 accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I know the effects of being hurt by family, friends, employers, co-workers and church leadership. I was a victim of domestic violence and understand how demeaning and devastating this crime can be. Through it all Father kept me for such a time as this.
Over the years I have served in numerous positions within the church as Usher, Sunday School Teacher, Sunday School Superintendent, Evangelism Director/Instructor, Deacon, Vacation Bible School Coordinator/Teacher, Praise/Worship Leader, Greeter, and Prophetic Ministry Team Member. I am the Founder and President of Shekinah Glory Ministries, Inc., my heart's desire is to acquire property for what will be a multifaceted and multicultural ministry. My goal is to communicate the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the saved and the unsaved; encourage Believers to pursue the presence of Father and develop an intimate relationship with Him; as well as help Believers discover their spiritual giftings and talents; minister to the spiritual, mental, and physical needs of the whole person (i.e. open forums, Bible studies). I endeavor to provide opportunities for spiritual growth, enrichment, education, and creative ministries that enable individuals to develop a sense of personal responsibility and self worth (i.e. workshops, conferences and seminars).
