Brenda's Story
I live in Gaithersburg, Maryland with my husband of 23 years, Steve Mockrin. Together we have 4 children - 2 are mine and 2 are his- all are ours :-) Mine are the older two; Dan, 36, an oral surgeon, who lives in northern California with his wife and their two children and Amy, 34, who is a hair stylist, who lives about 5 minutes from her brother so she can be a part of her brother's family and so she can be involved with her niece & nephew. Steve's girls live on the West coast too; Randy, 33, who just obtained her PhD, is currently in Fort Collins, CO - she is getting married in June. Jesse, 29 is in San Diego and is finishing her Masters at UCSD.

graduating HS I earned a nursing degree and later returned to school where I got a bachelors degree and then a masters in social work; I also attended law school for 2 years. Today I am the director of a Child Assessment Center, where children with allegations of abuse or neglect are brought for medical assessments, mental health therapy, victim advocacy, nurse case management, and forensic interviews. Interesting job that can be intense at times. I have loved my jobs throughout my adult life and I hope my life has made a positive difference in those I have touched as much as they have impacted mine :-) Wishing all of you the very best life has to offer!
