Brenda's Story

I was divorced almost 3 years ago after a 20-year marriage. Due to my children, I'm locked into staying in Minneapolis where I've been living for the past 14 years. I'm currently looking at farm property in Tennessee with the plan to move there in 3 years when my daughter graduates from high school. I also have a son who will be a junior in college & is studying abroad this fall semester in Rome & Athens. I'm charged with starting up a new autism program at the middle school where I've taught for 8 years. I'm also looking forward to finishing my master's degree in education this December. I'm involved with rescuing greyhound dogs after their race career ends & foster dogs fresh off the track. I have two dogs of my own & lease a quarter horse from a f...Expand for more
riend of mine who lives outside of the city. About a year ago I was introduced to a form of free-style weaving that originated in Japan called Saori. I bought a loom & entered a piece in my first art show last month. I love to read (when I can find time that isn't consumed with required readings for my grad classes!) & belong to a neighborhood book club. This summer I've done a lot of bicycling, including a few weekend trips. I like to listen to live music at smaller venues. I haven't been back to Michigan in years as all of my family has relocated out-of-state. My brother, Paul & his wife, live in Charlotte, NC. My youngest brother, Michael, his wife & family live in Knoxville, TN along with my parents. When are we going to have a class reunion?!
