Brenda's Story
Well...I just moved back to Indiana after living awhile in the great white north...MinneSNOWda. Why I moved back? I have no idea as it had nothing to do with the cold or snow...cuz really...the winter sucks more here than it does there. And...it is not humid in the summer.
But...anyway...I graduated with my BA in Professional Writing/English, with a minor in Italian/History/Office Applications Development. Guess what I don't use on a regular basis. Yep...this paragraph isn't written in Italian.
I am now a Lead Systems Test Analyst. That means I get paid to teach IT developers humility. Oh, and I get to break stuff while I'm at it.
I never married, but that doesn't mean much of anything. I came close...twice...but now I'm better known as the "runaway bride". I just really haven't found that perfect man who can handle a strong willed woman with a flare for the dramatic. And who has a dog that is more strong willed than she is. 'm still floored I'm 40. Good grief...I still look and act like I'm 30. God bless those great genes!
So, when I'm not berating IT geeks at work, I'm playing the piano (I keep taking lessons but still bite), sing in the church praise & worship team (I know longer sound like Minnie Mouse), ride my bike, take long walks, write, write some more, write a lot more, read, blog, dance (hey, I took lessons), horseback ride (our family has not one, but two horse farms now), hike (Minnesota really helped increase that...so does having a dog), sail (okay, so my uncle is at the helm, but I like to ride in the boat), do anything in water (again, I was in Minnesota...what else is there to do), and just plain hang out with friends (I have over 160 of them on Facebook alone...and I just started).
I may be a bit sarcastic in writing this, but in reality...I'm blessed. Really, I am. God has been so good to me. I'm in a great relationship, my writing is taking off, my job is flourishing, and I have some of the greatest friends anyone could ever ask for. What else could anyone need.
A piu tardi, ragazzi!
