Brenda's Story
Life
Wow! Can hardly believe almost 30 years have passed since graduation! I was married in 2/81; had three children; then divorced in 2/91. After a few years I hooked up with Mike Torrez. We finally married in November 2001. Between us we have 6 kids ages 29; 23; 22; 22; 20; and, 18. There are also 7 grandkids betwen 2 months of age and 10 years old! Who would have thought...
Workplace
After high school I tried Southwestern College...didn't work out. Went to work at Hilton Hotels, then a tempoary service, then County of San Diego in September 1980. I've been there ever since. Finally getting closer to retirement - only 8 years to go!
UPDATE 10-2008
Retired as of January 2008! WAAHOO! We are raising two more children - both are currently in first grade. I just couldn't raise more children while working:~/ Our six kids are now 32, 27, 25, 25, 23 and 21. The grandchildren are now...Expand for more
between 3 and 14 years of age!
Life is good! God is good! Even though the economy stinks...

UPDATE 1-2016
We are closing in on our 40th class reunion. Geez, time flies!
Now I have been retired for 8 years. Mike passed away December 2014. Now I'm getting used to living alone most of the time. My 13 year old grandgirl lives with me, but has lots of parenting time with her mom. Our six kids are now 40, 34, 32, 32, 30 and 28. We now have 10 grands between 2 years old and 21! Two more are on the way.
I am blessed! God continues to take care of me and keeps me going.

45th Reunion! WOW!
My grandgirl is all grown up, working full time, has a great boyfriend and moved out. (waaah).
Currently caring for my step mom who has Alzheimer's. Life gets overwhelming sometimes. But she now attends a daycare center and I'm getting help with her at home.
God continues to provide! :-)
