Brenda's Story

Life I love my life! I have a wonderful husband, My oldest son is married and they have two precious daughters. The next son is was married 2 years ago. The next son is still single. And the youngest son is married and has one daughter. I love being a grandma! And now, after 4 boys, I finally have my girls-3 granddaughters! They are a constant source of laughter and joy! I feel so blessed because of all of them. Then there is my very best friend in the whole wide world...Wanda!!! God has blessed me so much to have a friend that I can share anything and everything with. We have been through so much together. Of course there is my church family. They are a huge support to me too. When my husband and I got married we moved to his home state of Maryland which was so far away from my home state, Florida. So my church family became a part of my extended family. After graduating from High School I could never have imagined that I would have gone through everything that I have been through! That is why I write about my family and friends. Life is really not about the job you have, the money you make, or your possessions. I've been through some really good stuff and some really tough stuff since high school. The last few years have been some of the especially tough years dealing with resurfacing memories of abuse. It was my family and friends who held me up and supported me through the tough times. But I have to say that as much love and support as they gave me, it did not compare to the strength...Expand for more
, the hope, and the peace that God provided for me during that whole time. I know some people reading this may not want to hear it but like it or not it's the truth! I'm only speaking what I've lived. I can tell you for sure that the level of trauma I went through I could not have sustained life on my own without God's help, and that's a fact. Today, I have so much joy and peace! Going through so many years of trauma with the resurfacing memories caused several physical conditions. I not longer work, and it's hard. I do get to babysit my granddaughter more often though, yippee! Despite the physical stuff, God is faithful. The one thing I have learned in life is that God will never abandon me. He has this intense love for me that I just can't understand! It is so awesome and so wonderful and so amazing! And I don't have to do or be anything and he loves me! Isn't that so cool? So...you really want to know about me? I love to ride motorcycles and horses! I had a snowboard but sold it (to someone in Sarasota, Florida, ironically). I like to fish with my hubby and boys. We like to camp. I love a girl's night out, making crafts, crocheting, talking (and man can I talk your ear off!), playing badminton, going for a walk, you know...normal stuff. I loved going four wheeling with my sissy down in Sarasota, Florida! I'm easy-going. I can pretty much strike up a conversation with anyone. I love to laugh and have a good time.
