Single (divorced)and not looking to change it, I have four grown children, nine grandchildren; I'm a licensed voc. nurse.. for 31 years now. I'm fat, sassy, opinionated. I keep in touch with only a couple of friends from high school, the very special ones. I live in a suburb of Ft. Worth and have lived here in the Metroplex since I left San Antonio in 1987 to be free of my abusive ex-husband and his psycho thief shack-up. It worked. I'm not bitter!! lol I have never regretted the move. I am exactly where I want to be. I hope you are, too.

As for the 'then and now' pictures...well,oddly enough they were both taken on Halloween. Then...1985. Now, 2007. I never have been one for pictures and never take a good one.
Today, July 24, I am living in Grapevine, Texas and looking so forward to the day that I can retire. I have been a nurse (LVN) since 1976 and worked in just about every area of nursing. I am short a year from having my bachelor's degree in management and ethics and one class short of starting RN...Expand for more
school. Why? Well, I got old while I was going to college for twenty years and I just ran out of steam. If only I had married for money instead of the beatings and abuse. Oh, well. Live and learn. What doesn't break you will make you stronger.. wanna arm wrestle?
Being abused has really helped me in my work life, actually. I can spot a liar at a thousand yards, smell meanness on someone before they get close enough to strike, and I can weave and bob better than most people my age. That comes in handy with some of the geri-psyche patients I deal with not to mention our neighborhood muggers.
I can spot a controller by the glint in his eye and I have more castrating one-liners than the best pole dancer. I date occasionally, but the bar is so high that no one has come close to it. What's worse than a reformed drunk? A woman with old bruises and a long memory.
If you don't know me, you're probably reeling by what I have said. If you do know me, you know that I am just incredibly funny in a very dry and sarcastic way. Hope you had a smile.
