Brenda's Story
I ended up having to go an extra 1/2 year. So I didn't really graduate with the class of '70 or '71. It was mid-term with all the mid-term grads from all schools in Austin. Graduation was Feb.1, 1971, but I had gotten married Oct.2,1970. After school we moved to Luling( where he's from). We have been married 44 years now. I have 1girl and 2 boys.All grown and on their own. The youngest son and his wife have given us 3 beautiful grandkids, 2 girls and 1 boy. I've been lucky enough to be able to be a housewife and mother, being part of they're activities. From girl scout leader,to booster mom. I only worked off and on for 3-4 yrs. at a friends day care because i could have the kids there after school. Now it is all coming back around, grandson playing football, the youngest girl is cheerleading for peewee football and I'm back in girl scouts with the oldest. My daughter just turned 40 and has ms and lives with my mother. The oldest s...Expand for more
on is in Austin and is a security guard at the racetrack. The youngest son is married , he and his wife are raising the 3 little ones. He travels around working on a drilling rig. My life pretty much is uneventful except for the usual stuff in life. Oh almost forgot the most important one in my life. My husband, Bobby, he's semi-retired. As soon as the truck is paid for it's our time to go fishing and hopefully travel some. But then I'll have get a babysitter for my 5 dogs, 1 cat and 15 fish. I still like to sew, read, cook, fish, and play with the kids. So it's been normal and to some probably boring, but when your having fun in life it's always an experience. JUST REMEMBER TO ENJOY LIFE AND HAVE FUN. Update: the cat passed away but still have the rest. fortunatelly no longer a scout leader either. The kids are great it's the other parents that were a pain in the ass.
Bobby retires in 3-4 months. Just about ready, too.
