Brenda's Story
Wow, could hardly wait to leave Charleston. Got married at 19 - bad choice & divorced at 21 with a daughter. I was smart for 10 years and then married naval officer. Moved to Annapolis MD, Norfolk VA and then WA State near Seattle.
We split about 5 years ago & I bought a cute house with stream and pond in back yard. Started w/10 gold fish (have 8 now). Also live with 2 cats - Frank, Lola. Oh, then there are the 2 stray cats that I feed when they show up. Animal lover and a bit of a softie!
Before leaving Charleston used to see Andy Hogue, Al Oswald, Ann Hudson & John Getsinger once in a while. And I've actually talked to Mark Barnes since moving here, but not recently.
I worked in community relations at Westvaco for 8 years before moving to Annapolis. Then I started my property management/real estate career.

ook care of them on weekends! Actually Sunita (Sunny) Pandya was on a recent NASA mission. She's the one that ran the NY Marathon while in space!
Think Norfolk was my favorite place to live. We bought 100 year old town home in historic district. Had 4 levels and two staircases on entry level - back one was for the slaves. Lots of shops, and restaurants near by and even a movie theatre and Starbucks! Yes, I've been a coffee snob since mid 80's when had my first cup of Starbucks.
And then kicking & screaming I ended up in WA State. Husband's last duty station was at an ammo base near Seattle. Great place to live - like living in a National Park only with bombs stored in bunkers! Lots of wildlife and trails for walking or biking. Even canoed and crabbed... reminded me of all the times I wrapped twine around chicken necks on Johns's Island and threw them in the water trying to catch dinner!
Love my new "single" life and looking forward to many more fun and exciting adventures!!
