Workplace Methodist Hospital of Houston 1967-1969 Wake County Medical Center 1973-1976 Doctors offices 1976-1979 Westinghouse Electric 1979-1988 American Airlines 1988-1995 MET HUSBAND,RON, WHILE I WAS A JUNIOR AT MSHS. HE WAS A STUDENT AT WAKE FOREST. MARRIED HIM JUNE 6,1959. WE HAVE 3 CHILDREN AND 5 GRANDCHILDREN. WE CELEBRATED OUR 50TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY IN JUNE,2009.. I AM A RETIRED REGISTERED NURSE. MY HUSBAND IS A MATH PROFESSOR AT NC STATE. WE HAVE LIVED IN RALEIGH FOR 40 YEARS.BEFORE WE WERE IN CHAPEL HILL FOR 2 YEARS-HE WAS THERE 3 YEARS WHERE HE RECEIVED HIS MASTERS. THEN MOVED TO AUBURN, ALABAMA FOR 2 YEARS WHERE HE RECEIVED HIS PHD. THEN TO ATLANTA FOR 2 YEARS TO TEACH. THEN TO HOUSTON WHERE I WENT TO SCHOOL AND GOT A LVN(LPN)AND WORKED AT THE FAMOUS METHODIST HOSPITAL IN CARDIO. I SAW DR. MICHAEL DEBA...Expand for more
KEY ALMOST EVERYDAY. WE MOVED TO RALEIGH IN 1969 AND IN 1973 I WENT BACK TO SCHOOL AND GOT MY R.N. IN 1975. I DID DOCTORS OFFICES BUT THEN FELL IN LOVE WITH OCCUPATIONAL NURSING (EMPLOYEE NURSING). I RETIRED FROM AMERICAN AIRLINES WHEN THE HUB IN RALEIGH PULLED OUT AND DID AWAY WITH MY MEDICAL. I STARTED BY MYSELF AND ENDED WITH 5 NURSES WORKING FOR ME. I'VE ENJOYED MY LIFE. WE'RE VERY ACTIVE IN OUR CHURCH WHERE I'VE BEEN ACTIVE IN THE MUSIC DEPARTMENT. IT WAS A SMALL CHURCH WHEN WE JOINED BUT NOW HAS OVER 2000 MEMBERS WITH AT LEAST 75 CHOIR MEMBERS,GRADED CHOIRS, ENSEMBLES, HAND BELLS INSTRUMENTAL ENSEMBLE. I FEEL VERY FORTUNATE TO BE A PART OF THIS CHURCH. I STILL PLAY THE PIANO. IF YOU DON'T REMEMBER, I PLAYED FOR THE GLEE CLUB AND PLAYED FOR OUR GRADUATION IN 1959. To Patricia Tschantz. I posted this this week but didn't know if you were able to read and see it. Spencer has been taking Ju Ji Su for almost 2 years. He loves it. This week, he received another "stripe" to his belt.
We are keeping Allie Fulp's Cat this week. She has to go back on Sunday afternoon and we will really miss her. Everyone loves her. She is so gentle an very loving.

Our cat has found a box from Christmas. He loves to lie in it at the window. Layla loves him and thinks he is funny sitting in the box.
