Brent's Story
Life
I just keep listening to the Doors "The End" over and over and over ... wait .. here comes the best part again ....
Now here is an interesting factiod!
In 1967 I drove a blue 1966 GTO (still have it.) to a Jimi Hendriks concert at the fairgrounds Coliseum. I had a TV mounted between the seats (thought it was cool to cruise Central while watching TV, but it wasn't because everybody wanted to get in the back seat for TV and fun, meanwhile I get to drive. it sucked) Back to the Jimi Hendriks concert. When we came out of the concert, no more TV. Stolen. It was a good thing.
Stuck my head inside a big speaker at a Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention concert. Zappa looks over from the microphone and sees this fool with his head in his speaker. He goes, "FFRREEEEAAAAKK". My hearing has never been very good since then. Huh? What did you say?
Kids can be so cruel.
I took a speech and debate class. Can't remember the teacher's name, but she was pretty big around and shaped like a Hershey Kiss. She...Expand for more
was, however, a great teacher. One assignment was to make something (like a piece of art, for example) and then talk about the thing you made. I was short on time, so I made a big blob of flour and salt dough into kind of a big cow pie shaped thing and fashioned sort of a head at the top of the heap and shaped some arms along the sides, and painted it with a green dress and a pink head and put it in a box. When I took it out of the box for my presentation, even I was amazed that my cowpie creation bore an uncanny resemblence to our teacher. Her dress was even the same color. I gave my speech, the class was rolling on the floor.
I was at the State Fair with a girlfriend. We went into the KRUX or KRIZ tent. They had lots of albums on display for sale. We walked out. My girlfriend shows me this "Steve Miller Band" "Sailior" album. Hmmm. How'd she score that. I think I still have that album. Somewhere, along with a few of her 45's. Guess she loaned em to me. Janis Ian, Society's Child. Remember.
