Brett's Story

Life After graduating in 1981, I attended Daytona Beach Community College for a year. After growing tired of school I decided to join the Marine Corps. Went to boot camp Oct 1982. Jan 83 graduated and got married. Transferred to Camp Pendleton, California in June 83. Tranferred to Okinawa, Japan in Oct 84 (one month after the birth of my daughter, Brittney Rose). July 85 tranferred to Camp Lejeune North Carolina. Jan 86 deployed to Mediteranean with Marine Amphibious Unit 26 (26 MAU). July 88 aga...Expand for more
in deployed to Mediteranean, this time with 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (24 MEU). Aug 90 deployed to Persian Gulf for Desert Storm. Sep 90 divorced. July 91, participate in National Victory Celebration in Washington DC. Feb 92 promoted to Warrant Officer. Nov 92, back to Camp Pendleton. Sep 95, deploy to Korea for Exercise Ulchi Focus Lens. Oct 95, transfer to Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego as Range Officer. Sep 96, remarry. Oct 98, transfer to Marine Corps Air Station Miramar near San Diego.
