Brian's Story

College In school now. Trying to earn a place in the medical community. Finally got off my ass and tried the higher education thing. Like it alot. learning new things and making new friends. Workplace I work at Gallup Lumber & Supply as the Inventory Control. I correct inventory discrepancies, adjust prices, and make sure everything scans on our computer system. I originally started in our recieving warehouse checking in merchandise and unloading trucks. I like this job but its not the be all, end all of my life. Still looking for something else more fulfilling. Military Worked shitty fast food jobs for two years after HS then began to want more from life. Came to the understanding that if I stayed i wouldnt do shit with my life. So i joined the Marine Corps and was underway for the next five years. Lived in Okinawa, Japan for my first year but saw Thailand, Korea, The Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Australia, E. Timor, And more of the Pacific Rim. Headed back to Calif...Expand for more
ornia for my last three and a half years. Did a year with 2nd battery 11th Marines Artillery and two years with 1st Combat Engineers Battalion. With 1st CEB i saw the Pacific Rim two more times, Cuba, Ireland, Paris,France, Egypt, Alaska, Hawaii, and various parts of California. It was the greatest experience of my life. I got to train with foreign troops, see exotic lands and experience new cultures. Ride in helicopters, tanks, amphibious vehicles, airplanes, ships, trucks, snow vehicles, and sometimes jump out of them. Learned how to shoot, ski, climb, survive in various climates, play with explosives, and learn several life saving techniques used in extreme situations. In my down time me and my friends Taylor, Bennington, and Reyes would hang out with Reyes family in Los Angeles. I think I loved that city most of all. A person could get lost or do anything in Los Angeles. Reyes is the closest friend that i could say that Ive ever had. He was more a brother to me than a friend.
