Brian's Story

Life Like everyone, life has been a series of ups and downs, it's been challenging and rewarding. I have been married for 29 years and have three children - all girls. My oldest - Crystal is married, lives in Montana and owns her own business. My middle daughter is an attorney in Spokane and my youngest daughter just made me a grandfather five months ago, so my life has now come full circle. Everything from here-on is gravy. College My first college direction when I left the military was for a fine arts degree in photography. Although the creativity was satisfying, I wanted more so I went back for a business degree in accounting. I received my CPA certification and spent time with 2 different CPA firms. My ultimate goal has always been to own my own business, and I am now involved with two real estate development firms, one in Washington state and one in northern Idaho. Workplace ...Expand for more
I've spent much of my life associated with the building trades until I finished my business degree. I am a CPA, but have worked in a number of industries from software to manufacturing. Somehow I always come back to building. I am now a developer/builder, specializing in Universal Design, focusing on creating housing projects for the disabled and the aged. Military I joined the service to get over a lost love but it didn't work. I tried to find her when I finished training, but she was already married. I spent my military career working on nuclear weapons in Montana and S. California. It was the end of the Vietnam war and I was glad to be limited to stateside duty. I saw my military career as an adventure, and because it took me to one of the last truly wild locations in the US, I took full advantage, spending all of my free time in the wilderness hunting, fishing, climbing and backpacking.
