Brian's Story
Life
Went to Oakmont from 84 to 87.
Left Roseville to attend DeVry in Phoenix, AZ, where I earned my BS-EET.
Moved to Reno, NV and now work for IGT, where I have been now for the last 23 years. Man time flies!
I met my wife here. She is from Japan and speaks both languages fluently. She is definitely my better half :-) We like to travel. So far, we've been to Germany, France, Canada (Toronto - Niagara is awesome; and Victoria - Butchart gardens is a must see), Seattle (saw the Mariners - yeah!),Mexico (Puerto Vallarta), and most recently, Costa Rica, Spain, Puerto Rico, and, of course, Japan, many times now.
My job takes me all over as well. I've been to Argentina, Canada (Moncton - friggin' cold; and Edmonton - West Edmonton Mall is amazing), Oregon (nice to see green), Lo...Expand for more
uisiana (my first month with the company), Rhode Island, West Virginia (several times now) and Sweden. Damn, this is the first time I really tried to remember all the places I've been. I love this job.
Reno is a fantastic place to live, if you don't mind brown hills and long winters. Aside from that, we have plenty to do here. We live just over the hill from Lake Tahoe and just a 4 hour drive to San Francisco. There's plenty of Snow Ski resorts within 1 hour's drive. Mount Rose is just 15 minutes from my house. Casino's offer lots of shows and we get lots of concerts from legendary bands, like Santana, Lynard Skynard, Def Leppard, Fleetwood Mac, etc. (You know, the ones at the end of their careers ;-)
