Brian's Story

Life After high school, I went to the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs and graduated in 1982. Following that, I went to pilot training in Phoenix. I graduated from there in 1983 and subsequently flew T-38s in Phoenix and C-130s in Little Rock. I left the Air Force in 1989 and worked as a civilian flight test engineer for the Air Force at Edwards Air Force Base near Lancaster, CA. I went to Naval Postgraduate School for a couple of years in Monterey, CA, then moved to San Diego in January 2000 to work for the Navy....Expand for more
I got married to a naval officer in July 2000. When we moved to the Seattle area in 2002, I started commuting to Minneapolis to fly regional jets for Northwest. OMG is that place cold in the winter! I flew for three years and then quit. I became a stay-at-home dad with two amazing kids for about 18 months. We moved back to the San Diego area in June 2007 and I'm currently an instructor for the Department of Defense. We love to water ski and snowboard whenever we can.
