Brian's Story
Attended the Coast Guard Academy after graduating from Monroe in 1977. Graduated from there in '81 and retired after 21 years as a Coast Guard Officer and helicopter pilot. I was stationed all over the country including 5 years in Puerto Rico. ely after 9/11 and flying into the middle of Hurricane Floyd. I retired from the Coast Guard in 2002 and got a job flying an EMS helicopter in the Toledo, OH area. Besides the normal emergencies in this job my highlight would be a week spent in New Orleans immediately after Hurricane Katrina taking people from the flooded hospitals. I have five children, two of which are adopted from overseas. I keep in touch with Rich Hawkins and Chris Benton.
