Brian's Story

How do I hope old friends will remember me? I hope they remember me as someone who was fun to be around and one who enjoyed life to the fullest. Always one who had a smile and loved to laugh. Life is too short to be taken seriously so why not have fun as much as you can? I guess in this respect I'm a lot like my dad was. Always laughing, being a jokester and loving life to the fullest. I want to live my life like my dad did because he never took himself too seriously. You only have this life on earth so why not enjoy it? The weirdest job I ever had? I worked for a friend of mine who was a mortician. He was contracted through the medical examiner of St. Charles County and we would go out on calls ranging from auto accidents to suicides to murders. It was a job not for the faint at heart. It was good experience but was very demanding in terms of being on call 24 hours a day 7 days a week. When...Expand for more
we weren't on call for the medical examiner, I would go out on calls for his business which was just as demanding. I did that for about three years and then had to quit because other things were getting in the way of that job. What's been my biggest surprise? Probably being at my current job for almost 22 years now. I never thought I would be in information technology for as long as I have but here I am today still at it. I am currently pursuing my bachelor's degree in criminal justice with an emphasis in either juvenile corrections, crime scene investigation, or possibly cybercrime. I will be ready to start my second career after I have 30 years in my first career. The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is my dad, because I have missed him immensely. My best friend would tell you I'm a loyal friend, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as friendly.
