Get stuck in the sand? well I more than likely will be one of the first to see if we can get you UN stuck. Lake Lahontan is primarily used for irrigation of farm lands in and around Fallon, NV (that would also be HOME to Top Gun as well) and the secondary use is for Recreation and I work there EVERY summer! When not working I am VERY BUSY with the Lyon County Sheriff's Search and Rescue Team - I am active with the Communications section and I am the Assistance Emergency Coordinator for Lyon County. I have Custody of the Emergency Communications Vehicle which is a Converted 1992 Ford Ambulance, 4WD for SOME off roading to get where we can set up point to point and relay communications. I have amateur, ...Expand for more
Local, State and can link other groups to OUR team for any search that comes up. I AM a Certified Tracker, as well as being trained to handle MOST medical emergencies that come up in the field. OUR fun MOTTO is support Search and Rescue - GET LOST but do prepare before you go out into the remote areas so it can remain a fun title. We are known and hve worked with other counties in Nevada and a couple of counties at the state line area have worked or asked for assistance in the California areas that border or are near Lyon county! I have a few irons in the fire - A motorhome I now have is a work in progress as it is an older one, I STILL HAVE my 57 Ford and want so bad to get it on the road especially for Reno's Hot August Nights in the near future. I am most proud of my Kids who by May 2016 will ALL have a Bachelors Degree of some sort. I have a computer Geek working on ALL his certs now, A HS Math Teacher in Nevada, A Combat Medic who is also Army Medically Retired now working on Medical Assistance to assistance for her fellow soldiers and others transitioning to civilian life, and the last but not least daughter is the last to graduate next spring as a Children's Psychologist/early learning program monitor. I am always looking to expand my knowledge in any field that will have me or put up with me. I still have a soft spot for Electronics but I am now about 5 years out of any Software or Electronics program work that I used to do as a Military Contractor , so now I just do it as a HAM radio operator when I repair my own gear and make my own Antennas or projects that make me a better HAM.
